Graduation Is Just the Beginning. Ready for What Comes Next?

You’ve shaped your arrow. We aim it at the target.

Parents, we see what you see. You've done everything right. You've loved them, invested in them, prayed over them. And now you're watching them approach adulthood — and something feels unfinished.

Not because they aren't smart. Not because they don't have potential. But because the world they're stepping into requires more than good grades and a diploma. It requires financial intelligence, professional character, communication skills, and a sense of purpose that can withstand pressure.

Most schools don't teach that. Most programs don't either. Crown Arrow Preparatory helps young adults ages 16–21 build the skills, mindset, and professional foundation that employers are actually looking for — grounded in faith, built for the real world.

Here's What No One Is Telling You or Your Student.

Maybe they're a junior or senior in high school, working hard, dreaming about college or career. Maybe they've already graduated and are searching — frustrated, confused, wondering why the doors aren't opening. They're not alone. And it's not their fault. The generation entering the workforce right now is facing a set of challenges that didn't exist in the same way even a decade ago:

• A degree is no longer a differentiator — Employers are flooded with applicants who have credentials but can't demonstrate competence, communication, or professional maturity.

• Financial literacy is at an all-time low — Young adults are taking on debt without understanding credit, entering the workforce without a savings strategy, and making decisions based on what looks good — not what builds wealth.

• AI and automation are reshaping entry-level work — The jobs that used to be the 'starter' roles are disappearing. The young people who will thrive are those who can think critically, communicate clearly, and demonstrate value that a machine can't replace.

• The soft skills gap is real — Employers are increasingly frustrated with new hires who are technically trained but personally underprepared — unable to receive feedback, navigate conflict, or sustain professional accountability.

• No one is teaching them life skills that matter most — Dating well, forming healthy families, understanding how the national economy affects your personal finances, knowing why your character at 19 shapes your career at 35 — these conversations aren't happening in classrooms.

The 2025 job market for young graduates is the harshest it has been in more than a decade:

  • Only 30% of 2025 college graduates found full-time work in their field (Cengage Group)
  • 33% remained unemployed months after graduation — actively searching, not finding
  • 48% of graduates said they felt unprepared to even apply for entry-level      positions in their field
  • The unemployment rate for recent college graduates now exceeds the national      average — a near-historic first (Federal Reserve Bank of New York)

Here's what graduates themselves are saying:

  • "I was panicking. What am I going to do if I don't have a job after graduation?" — Azraiel Raines, global studies graduate (NPR, 2025)
  • "I've come across a lot of interviews where they'll ask me questions that I just don't have an answer for because I don't have enough experience." — Madia Bellebuono, marketing graduate with 2 internships, strong GPA, and 300+ applications (CNN, 2025)
  • "Half of the classmates that I graduated college with didn't have a job when they all walked the stage with me." (CNBC, 2025)

The system prepared them academically. It didn't prepare them professionally. And that gap is costing young people — financially, emotionally, and spiritually.  This isn't a doom-and-gloom picture. It's an opportunity. And Crown Arrow Preparatory was designed to help young adults seize it.

Why the Skills Gap Exists

School Prepared Them for Grades. Employers Want Something Else.

According to a major national survey of 800 HR leaders (Hult International Business School, 2024):

  • Only 24% of recent graduates said they have all the skills they need for their      current role
  • 77% of young employees said they learned more in six months on the job than in their entire college experience
  • 96% of HR leaders believe universities need to take more responsibility for workforce training

Employers aren't looking for students who aced the exam. They're looking for young people who can communicate professionally, solve real problems, manage themselves, collaborate under pressure, and show up with character.

These are not things most classrooms teach. They are exactly what Crown Arrow Preparatory is built to develop.

We Bridge the Gap

We are the place where faith meets workforce readiness.

Crown Arrow Preparatory is a youth development program for ages 16–21 that equips young people with the professional skills, financial knowledge, and biblical grounding they need to thrive — not just survive — in the real world.

We call it The Crown Arrow Method™. Seven pillars. One clear trajectory. A young person who graduates from our program doesn't just have potential — they have proof.

The Seven Pillars of The Crown Arrow Method™

1. Biblical Worldview

Before your student decides what they want to do, they need to know who they are. We start here — establishing purpose, identity, and a God-anchored framework for every decision that follows.

2. Financial Literacy

Student loan debt. Credit cards. Rent. Taxes. Most young people enter adulthood financially blind. We change that — covering budgeting, credit, compound interest, understanding a paycheck, and building toward long-term wealth.

3. Professional Readiness

Interview preparation. Workplace etiquette. Navigating office dynamics. Understanding expectations. Getting and keeping a job are very different skills — your student will learn both.

4. Critical Thinking

The real world doesn't give multiple-choice answers. We develop problem-solvers who can analyze information, separate emotion from fact, make sound decisions, and adapt when plans change.

5. Effective Communication

6. Dating & Family Formation

Writing emails. Speaking in meetings. Giving feedback. Presenting confidently. Communication is the #1 skill employers say is missing in young hires — and it's one of the most teachable. We teach it.

6. Dating & Family Formation

6. Dating & Family Formation

Character isn't just professional — it's personal. We give young adults a values-based framework for relationships, boundaries, and building toward a healthy future with a stable family of their own.

7. Skills Over Degrees

7. Skills Over Degrees

7. Skills Over Degrees

A degree alone is not the golden ticket to success that it used to be. It may open certain doors, but skills are a bigger determinant of what happens next. We help young people identify, develop, and articulate the specific competencies that make them valuable from day one. We also introduce alternatives to college.

The Three Transformational Phases of The Arrow's Journey™

Phase 1 — Sharpened for Purpose

Who am I, and what am I called to do? We reinforce student's God-given identity, help them clarify their strengths, and build the inner character that will sustain them through life's challenges.

Before an arrow can soar, it has to be sharpened.

Phase 2 — Prepared to Soar

What do I need to know to advance? Students gain the functional skills that employers actually require — communication, professionalism, financial intelligence, and critical thinking.

Phase 3 — Built to Land

Am I ready?  Students integrate everything — applying their knowledge to real-world scenarios, and emerge with a professional persona, a clear pathway, and the confidence to enter the workforce — not as a hopeful candidate, but as a prepared one.

Why This Matters to You - Parents

What You've Invested Deserves a Return.

You've poured years — and often significant money — into your child's education. You've prayed over them. Pushed them. Believed in them. The last thing you want to see is them sitting at home after graduation, applying to hundreds of jobs and hearing nothing back.

"You're pressuring your kids to get good grades, get into a good school to set them up for the right opportunities when they get out. And now those opportunities have kind of vanished." — A parent whose son graduated from UC Irvine but couldn't find work (CNN, 2025)

Crown Arrow Preparatory exists to make sure that's not your story.

We give your young person what most schools don't: practical, professional, faith-rooted preparation for the world that's actually waiting for them. When they complete The Crown Arrow Method™, they'll have:

✔ The ability to communicate professionally and interview with confidence

✔ A working understanding of personal finance — before they have to learn it the hard way

✔ The professional mindset, habits, and character that employers consistently say are missing

✔ A biblical framework for navigating work, relationships, and life decisions

✔ A portfolio of real skills — not just a diploma.

Why This Matters to You - Students

You Deserve More Than "Good Luck Out There."

You already know something is missing. You've watched older siblings or friends struggle — not because they weren't smart enough, but because no one prepared them for the part that actually matters—how to manage money, how to show up at work, how to make decisions that build a future instead of just filling time.

Maybe you're still in school and you see what's ahead and you're wondering if you're actually ready. Maybe you've already started looking at the job market and it feels overwhelming. Maybe you've sent applications and heard nothing.

Here's the truth: the job market is hard right now. But it is not impossible — for the prepared. The graduates who are landing jobs, earning trust, and building careers are the ones who showed up with more than a degree. They showed up with skills, professionalism, financial intelligence, and character.

That's not luck. That's preparation. And preparation is exactly what Crown Arrow Preparatory gives you. You were created for a purpose. Let us help you get ready to walk in it.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." — Jeremiah 29:11

The Crown Arrow Method is a Game Changer

Sharpened for Purpose. Prepared to Soar. Built to Land.

Crown Arrow Preparatory was not built by a committee or a corporation. It was built by Lorey Kelley —a woman with a JD, MBA, PMP®, and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, 20+ years of program development experience, and a calling to close the gap between where young people are and where they need to be.

She has trained 600+ professionals, spoken to 10,000+ youth, and spent years watching capable young people struggle not because they lacked talent, but because no one ever provided a clear, practical roadmap to prepare them for real life. She has applied her knowledge and experience to analyze both the job market and the state of education to design a solution that targets the problem — and pinpoints the opportunity.

Crown Arrow Prep is the program she wishes existed when she started her career. Now it does. At the very time when it is more relevant than ever. Each of us was created for a purpose. Let us partner with you to equip this generation to get ready to walk in theirs.

We are enrolling students and accepting school and church partnerships. If you're a parent who agrees that this program would be a game changer for your youth, or you're a student who senses that you need more to get ready for the next phase of life post-graduation and want to bring Crown Arrow Prep to your school or youth group — let's connect.

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

— Jeremiah 29:11
